Rodney Sanders Sweeps Jayhawk Nationals at Lakeside Speedway
20th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree this Weekend at Deer Creek Speedway

Happy, Texas (09/18/18) – Rodney Sanders broke out the broom and made a clean sweep of the Jayhawk Nationals over the weekend in his Wichita Tank Racing #20 DriveWFX.com/ Swan Energy MB Customs/ Hatfield Racing Engine Modified.

Sanders pocketed over $5,000 for his efforts as he increased his 2018-win tally to 10.

“I always enjoy racing at Lakeside Speedway, and it was another good weekend for us there,” Sanders said. “It’s great to get a big win heading into the Fall Jamboree this weekend. Hopefully this momentum will translate into another successful weekend with more wins.”

Rodney Sanders was one of 18 USRA Modifieds in action at Lakeside Speedway (Lakeside, Kansas) on Friday evening for the Tom Karrick Memorial Scramble. Advancing two spots in his heat race, Sanders recorded a runner-up finish behind Darron Fuqua, which earned him the fifth-starting position for the scramble.

Battling with Fuqua for the top spot throughout the 20-lap feature, Sanders made a last-lap pass over Fuqua registering his ninth win of the season. Kerry Davis, Fuqua, Mark Schafman, and Chad Lyle completed the Top-5 finishers.

The following night with his spot already locked into the Jayhawk Modified Shootout, Sanders withstood challenges throughout the 40-lap feature en-route to his 10th win of the season and a $5,000 payday. Kerry Davis, Mark Schafman, Darron Fuqua, and Aaron Marrant trailed Rodney across the finish line.
