Rodney Sanders Wires the Field in Featherlite Fall Jamboree Finale
Mark Martin’s Race For Hope 74 this Weekend at Batesville Motor Speedway

Happy, Texas (09/25/18) – Rodney Sanders charged to the $10,000 payday in the 20th annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree finale on Saturday night in his Wichita Tank Racing #20 DriveWFX.com/ Swan Energy MB Customs/ Hatfield Racing Engine Modified.

The win was his 11th of the 2018 season and marked the 86th United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) triumph of his career.

“Mother Nature did her best to put a damper on the weekend, but I’ve got to give a big thumbs up to the Deer Creek Speedway staff for working to get the show in,” Sanders said. “We had a great car both nights, and we were able to really showcase it in the finale on Saturday night. It’s pretty cool to have won this race twice now. A very special thanks goes out to everyone who supports this team.”

After Mother Nature wiped out Thursday’s program, Rodney Sanders was one of 84 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries on hand at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Friday night for the 20th annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree opener. Passing nine cars in his 12-lap heat race, Rodney reeled in a runner-up finish behind Travis Saurer, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the opening night feature.

Running in the Top-5 throughout the 40 lapper, Sanders recorded a fourth-place finish behind Johnny Scott, Stormy Scott, and Jake O’Neil with Jake Timm rounding out the Top-5.

Returning on Saturday night, Sanders advanced five spots in his heat race to place second behind Stormy Scott. Earning the pole position for the 50-lap,main event, Rodney held off challenges from Ryan Gustin to lead every circuit of the finale en route to capturing his 11th win of the season and a $10,000 payday. It marked his second-career championship in the Featherlite Fall Jamboree.

Brad Waits, Stormy Scott, Johnny Scott, and Zack VanderBeek completed the Top-5 finishers in the 50-lap affair.
