Bshepp completely shredded a RR tire on lap 14. All that was left of it was some of the outer sidewall. He pits. Looked like they had a little difficulty getting the rim off. He makes it back out before going green.

I had to leave. The race track was very choppy all night. It will be about who can survive.

Must have been a funny tire.

Late night

They were battling with the track. We've just gotten pelted with rain lately, it's just been too much to keep up with. It didn't help they had to qualify 87 mods along with the 34 late models. They will be there late into the night. Not complaining at all. That is part of it.

Caution lap 26. Jameson blew a RR and Bshepp took a rock to the helmit, breaking it. Says he pulled in for a rag so he must be bleeding some I would assume.

10 to go. Moran, Terbo (from 17th) and Bshepp. They must've given him his spot back even though he pitted after getting hit by the rock.

Wow, for a Friday night, with 87 mods as a "support class" -- and considering all the rain that part of the country has had -- I'd say the track crew did a great job rolling the late model feature out by midnight. Thumbs up.

I'm pulling for Moran but, based on reports so far, he could blow a tire any lap now.

This mod portion was already scheduled earlier in the year, before the WoO rain out.

You Sir are spot onHaving been at Atomic when they pill drawed 105 mods I think it was, heck no. It is a disaster. You end up with people not even in the same zip code on the pole. Cost more than one person a car.

For regular shows and small regional stuff, yeah pill draw is ok. But then again, we are fans, as a driver, I’d say heck no to pill draws. Leaving the fate of where I start to a (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) pill, instead of my effort driving and preparing, wouldn’t sit well with me.

So that the fastest lap turners get a proper position and don't get screwed... To much money involved in the sport to draw straws...

It ain't the fans fault guys blew too much money. Sometimes, you get in a bum qualifying group and still get held up.

Yeah, Ive seen some squirrels get 1 good lap qualifying, start up front of a heat and take out most of the field. No way is qualifying fair in dirt racing, again..total waste of time.

99% of drivers would rather race against competition in there zip code as opposed to the ones who are not in general it makes racing safer for them compared to pill draw.

99% of drivers would like to not pass a car all night. In a regular night show where you might have 6-8 cars in a heat, all you need is a little patience. You are racing a $100 k machine for $1500 anyway.

im with ya MastersB pill draw would save time and would make the heats more exciting istead of just a formality, if you dont want to race your 100,000 machine to the front then make like a tree, and leave...

Guess you need to start going to drag races, because it's here to stay in big events by drivers demand and many fans also like qualifying also, maybe most in fact.

Pissing points is a killer on a no passing rack.
