Showdown at Senoia Raceway Features Two Events October 19-20 for Southern Nationals Bonus Series
SENOIA, GA (October 15, 2018)--The Third Annual Showdown at Senoia will take place Thursday through Saturday October 18, 19 and 20 at Senoia Raceway in Senoia , Ga. The Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV will sanction both events as Friday's race will pay $4,000-to-win (40 laps) and Saturday's race will pay $6,000-to-win (50 laps).
On Thursday Night October 18th the track will host and open practice session from 6:00 until 9:00 pm with the pits opening at 4:00 pm. Pit passes are $20.00 for Thursday's practice.
In addition to the $4,000-to-win Southern Nationals Bonus Series event, Friday's Showdown Shootout event also will see the Limited Late Models racing for $1,250 to win, the Crate Late Models will qualify and heat race, the Late Model Sportsman will race for $1,000 to win, the Hobby division will qualify and heat race while the Bombers will race for $750 to win. The Mini Stocks will qualify and run heat races and the Chargers will also be in action.
Saturday's Showdown will see the Southern Nationals Bonus Series competing for the $6,000 first place prize plus $1,000 for the Crate Late Models, $1,000 for the Late Model Sportsman, $1,000 for the Hobby/Bombers. The Mini Stocks will race for $2,500 to win while the Chargers and Hot Shots will also be in action.
The Super Late Model tire rule for the weekend will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600 along with the American Racer 48 and 56.
Friday's pit gates open at 2:00 pm, the stands will open at 5:00 pm, the drivers meeting will be at 5:30 and hot laps and qualifying will roll out at 6:15 pm.
Saturday's pits will open at 12:00 pm, the stands will open at 2:00 pm, the drivers meeting will be at 5:00 pm and hot laps and qualifying will roll out at 5:30 pm.
Grandstand admission Friday is $20.00 while pit passes Friday are $35.00. Saturdays grandstand admission is $25.00 while pit passes for Saturday are $40.00. A two day grandstand pass is $40.00 while a two day pit pass is $70.00. A three day pit pass that includes Thursday's practice is $90.00. A Sunday October 21 rain date may be used if necessary.
