Rod Conley Transfers into Second Career World 100; CMI Ready for DTWC Assault

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) trekked back to the hallowed grounds of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on October 12-13 for the completion of the rain-postponed 'World 100.' The dirt-slinging action was slated to get back underway at the "Big E" on Friday evening with a pair of Twin 25s, but the $10,000 to win prelim shows were pushed back to Saturday afternoon due to inclement weather. Rod Conley grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his stacked heat race, but was unfortunately the first retiree in the 25-lap daytime affair to finish in the twenty-fourth position.

Following a quick reworking of the racetrack for Saturday night's grand finale, the 48th edition of the 'World 100' took center stage and a whopping $51,000 paycheck was up for grabs. Rod placed sixth in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main, which allowed him to start the 100-lap crown jewel extravaganza from the outside of the fifteenth row. The Wheelersburg, Ohio ace was eventually credited with a twenty-second place performance in the "Biggest Dirt Race in the World." Complete results from the hectic day/night doubleheader at Eldora Speedway can be accessed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

All three Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) drivers – Delmas, Rod, and R.J. Conley – will look to defend their home turf on October 19-20 in the 38th edition of the ‘Rhino Ag Dirt Track World Championship’ at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. Hot laps and two rounds of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying heat races are scheduled to take place at PRP on Friday night, while consolation races, the $3,000 to win ‘Jim Dunn Memorial’ for non-qualifiers, and the 100-lap ‘Dirt Track World Championship’ are all slated for Saturday evening at the track located on the banks of the Ohio River. As has been the case in recent years, the winner of the DTWC will receive a whopping $100,000 payday. More information can be found by logging onto www.lucasdirt.com.
