I see quite a few localguys using -3 brake hoses... I have -4 in stock and have only used that size in the past. I'll be using Wilwood NDL calpiers next season.
Any reason not to use my. -4 lines? Qht size hard lines do you guys use?

I use 3/16" hard lines and -4 for the hoses, with zero issues (that I'm aware of). I've heard there is less "flex" or "expansion" with the -3, but in my feeble, stubborn mind, I don't buy that there is any expansion...but what do I know.

I still have several sticks of 3/16 steel lines from when I did a lot of hot rod stuff and general all around brake work. I learned to stock it when I always wound up needing some line at 9pm Sunday night when trying to finish a late night brake rebuild.
I know this new alloy line material is ez to work with but I have the old style on hand so I'm likely going to use it.
I agree with you about hose expansion btw.
Thanks.
PS..I'm cleaning my shop this weekend... I've found about $800 in parts I didn't know I had!

FYI......the number of an AN fitting is in sixteenths......-3 is 3/16!

Going from -4 to -3 hoses will give slightly better pedal feel ( less expansion, less pedal travel) going from -3 to -2 is really not noticeable.
