Casey can do better than this team. I felt like he took a step back going with this team. I hope he gets a good ride. Casey is a good dude.

That is common knowledge. You are correct. Like I said, he took a step backwards. He worked on his cars with Cushman and he ran well doing that. The Blount ride was not like that. They just wanted him to drive. I didn't think that would work. Good luck Casey!

Think that would be a great pairing. Think him and marlar would make good team up with randy. Don’t know if marlar trying national or regional next year. Think randy wants do regional and Casey would fit right in that, both like working on cars specially longhorns.

Just for whatever reason they didn’t click very well and never really became as tough as we thought they might be in the South. Maybe the XR1’s just didn’t fit Casey.

Hopefully Casey ends up in the right situation for him, and Blount gets the right type of driver for them. Maybe a Tanner English as stated, Nick Hoffman needs a ride lol, or Ross Bailes.

I think that Casey is going to be just fine. Man has already told me multiple times this year that he would write a check for Casey at the drop of a hat. My bet is the hat just dropped.

For being a regional team they sure know how to generate press. This team gets talked about like its best performance or lance landers racing

They've been a top regional program for a while. I know it's a foreign idea, but if you win some races, you get talked about some.

I don't think the Rocket was a good fit for him he was tough in a Longhorn plus with them he was hands on with them. I have always heard good things about the man saw him race a bunch somebody will be getting a class act with him.

I'm less surprised they are splitting than I was when they got together, not a good match. Good luck to Casey.

Good luck to Casey, hope he finds himself a good ride. I wasnt sold on him teaming up with Blount back when it was 1st announced, but as a fan of his I had high hopes. He wasnt bad in the car just nowhere near what Roberts or McIntosh have done in the last couple of years. I cant remember the date but wasnt it July or August when they got their 1st win together? When was the last time Roberts or Blount went that far into a season to get win #1? The Cushmans are good people and hated to see them get out of the sport, but it would be great to find another deal like that 1.

No, he spent the bulk of it with Cushman. He started in DLM with Slab Sellars driving an old Rayburn at Toccoa, then updated to a Walter Newman. When he left that ride to go out on his own Buck Simmons took over. Casey and a group of friends ran a Larry Shaw for a minute and then fielded a GRT(used Bart Hartman) for a season, maybe 2. Then in the mid 00's he hooked up with Cushman and they've utilized a lot of different cars while together:Barry Wright, VC by Moyer, Capital & Longhorn, in that order I'm pretty sure. Want to say he started up with Cushman in 2005 or 2006, but could've been as early as 2004. Then Blount and XR1.

Yeah im good thanks, just had to take a break from the trolls and crybabies that were taking over every post. My brain can only handle reading so much stupidity at once, plus started a new job and been focused on that.

Local/Regional guys that seem like good targets for Blount (depending on how DB ride plays):

Corey Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)

Tanner English

Marlar (likely ends up with a different team)

Perhaps a reunion of sorts is possible... He wasn't the house car driver, but he was tight with Barry & Lance a few years back.

It's about the money with Barry. He will have a house car if somebody is willing to foot the bills. They would have to furnish hauler and motors.

Yes, I know. Casey is very well thought of in our area and its not unheard of for someone to step up with sponsorship to make something happen. I remember when JD got his first shot with BWRC driving for a bail bondsman out of the Carolina's. Barry even made JD a specially modified chassis because he was so fond of Rayburn SwingArm, think they called it the "Stealth" car or something.
