Someone told me over the weekend the Nashville Fairgrounds was going to dirt for a month or so in 2019 and will host a few events. I just got an email where the WoO sprints will be running there May 31 and June 1. They will put dirt on the 1/4-mile track inside the big track. Nothing announced yet on a big SLM show, but something is in the works.

WoO tweeted this a couple hrs ago. It's the same weekend as the $100k sprint car world championship at Mansfield.

You guys do realize the 100k sprint race was scheduled against the Outlaws last year, too, right?

How could you have a weekend sprint car race and not schedule against the outlaws?Outlaw drivers have asked them to not schedule on top of this race. And they still do it

I believe this year WoO was in Texas against the $100k race. Now in 2019 it's at a place closer to Mansfield that they are putting dirt down for and putting up $25k to win. Seems like that's kind of a cheap shot. I'm sure Mansfield will still have a good field of cars like this past race. But that's not fair to the WoO guys and owners.

Exactly, so whining about them scheduling against each other is stupid.

There are only 52 weekends a year and Outlawa dont race in most of of November, December, or January. So yeah I agree it is really hard with the amount of races they run to not schedule against then at some point.

Now should they reach an agreement, maybe. But on the other hand it gives non WoO guys a shot at $100k.

And hopefully Mansfield has fixed that rock issue. Otherwise, you couldn’t pay me to go to Mansfield and I’m an hour and a half away.

It’s still like 6 1/2 - 7 hours between the tracks. The chances they actually affect each other is slim and none.

It makes this guy from middle Tennessee happy! I normally wouldn’t go to any sprint races but this is hopefully a start to something. Bet your paycheck I’ll be there!!

That race track needs to produce and show the city that it’s worth keeping around and I really hope this is a step in that direction

If the race at Mansfield is so great why didn't they talk to woo and schedule with them got to be a reason why they didn't not many big names there last year.

How can anyone expect this sport to stay afloat if you have to worry about events running 500 miles apart?

Imagine if the NFL had only one game on Sundays?

Hard to pay 100k to win then pay sanction fees on top of that. Last year's field was solid and it wasn't a big money team like schatz winning it. Positive for all

I think it's cool to see regional guys race for 100k, I could do without going and seeing Shatz winning 100k. Give me the drivers from the last one I attended and I'm good.

Count me in as excited. Being in West Tennessee, there are not many opportunities to see the WOO guys run without driving a long ways. For me, it’s good to see them running in the area regardless of the weekend.
