I don't think it was fake news or click bait. Obviously it wasn't a SLM. Why would they dq someone in an open motor class for a motor not passing tech? And obviously Overton won the open motor division.

Sounds like he got shafted by series officials. Don’t know the details other than his intake had no markings as it was port and polished. per Facebook. They called ahead and cleared with official prior to the race and then got called wrong after the face. There is some rumors about how shady that series is

The motor in question was supposed to be a sealed 525 crate. No seals on motor and the intake had been ported and polished. But ran the car with weight brake for sealed engine.

I am pretty sure he was not running a 525. It had something to do with aluminum heads being ported I believe...I was not there so do not hold me to it..

Clearly reading isn’t your strong suit ... it was an xr1 roller minus shocks , wheels , seat and power train ... not a complete latemodel. And I HAVE actually bought a bunch of things in a similar manner
