Ray Cook Debuts New Car in Georgia State Outlaw Championship; Lavonia and 411 Ahead

(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Following a month-and-a-half off from Dirt Late Model competition, Ray Cook and Wynn Motorsports debuted a Longhorn Chassis by Randy Weaver on Friday night, November 16 at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia. The Ultimate Super Late Model Series presided over the annual running of the 'Georgia State Outlaw Championship,' which boasted a $5,000 payday.

In his first laps behind the wheel of his new #53 ride, Ray turned the seventeenth fastest circuit in qualifying to earn the inside of the ninth row for the start of the 50-lap feature. The Brasstown, North Carolina ace then rallied past six competitors during the headliner to leave the Peach State with a hard-fought eleventh place performance. Full results from Screven can be accessed online at www.ultimatesupers.com.

The #53 team will jump right back into racing action this upcoming weekend in a doubleheader in the states of Georgia and Tennessee. On Friday, November 23, the unsanctioned ‘Black Friday Showdown’ will thrill the non-shopping race fans, as a $3,500 top prize will be on the line for the ground-pounding Super Late Models at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia.

A day later, the annual running of the ‘Leftover’ will take center stage at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee. The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Series will hold their season finale on Saturday, November 24 at the Volunteer State oval and a $5,000 winner’s check will be up for grabs. More information concerning both of these contests can be located by clicking on www.lavoniaspeedway.net and www.411motorspeedway.net.
