SEYMOUR, TENNESSEE – November 24, 2018 – The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com and Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series would complete their 2018 seasons on Saturday at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN as the Third Annual Leftover was contested. Scott James of Lawrenceburg, IN would survive an attrition-filled event to claim the victory for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series, while Lucas Lee of Paris, TN would claim the victory in the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series feature event.

The win for James in Super Late Model action would come behind the wheel of the Dolhun Motorsports owned Complete Heat Treating, Wisconsin Steel Industries, Spark-Lin Acres Farms, K-Bar-C Bucking Bulls, Suburban Drywall, Suburban Visuals, Powell Equipment Services, Hoffmann Trucking sponsored #83 Rocket XR-1, Pro Power Race Engines entry. Lee’s victory in the Open Wheel Modified division would take place aboard his Tank Lines of Paris, 45 Race Shop, Brucebilt Performance, Wiles Driveshafts sponsored #12 Brucebilt Race Cars, KMF Race Engines mount.

Michael Chilton would grab the lead at the start of the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series feature contest, with Ryan King, Scott James, Jackie Boggs, and Donald McIntosh giving chase. McIntosh would take fourth from Boggs on lap two, while James would work past King for second on lap three. King and McIntosh would begin to battle for third until King would spin in turn three on lap five to bring out the caution flag. The restart would see Chilton, James, and McIntosh scoot away from the field, while David Crabtree would take the fifth position from Boggs on lap six. The trio up front would continue to motor away until Ray Cook would slow on the backchute to draw the caution flag. The restart would see McIntosh take second from James, while Todd Coffman would snag the fifth position away from Crabtree on lap eleven. The caution would fly on lap thirteen and become a red-flag when Will Harris would see his mount tumble and go upside down in turn one, with the driver being all right. After a three-lap sprint of action that saw Victor Lee charge to the fourth position, the caution would wave once again for Will Roland slowed on the backchute with a flat tire and the restart would see a scramble up front when second-place running McIntosh’s machine would have mechanical issues and slow on the frontchute and results of the scramble would see Lee suffer a flat left-rear tire and report to the work area to get it changed and return to action. The restart would see Jackie Boggs claim third position from Coffman on lap seventeen, but the caution would wave again on lap eighteen for Coffman, who would slow on the track with a flat tire. Three more cautions would slow the action between laps twenty and twenty-five, before action would pick up at the front as James began to pressure Chilton, while Chris Garnes would motor past Boggs for the third position on lap thirty. Chilton’s great run at the point would end during a lap thirty-three caution when he would pull his machine pitside with engine problems and be finished for the event. This turn of events would give the lead to James and he would pull away from the field in the waning laps of the contest and survive one final caution flag that set up a green/white/checkered flag finish, with James pulling away on the final restart to claim the victory, with Garnes, Boggs, Chicky Barton, and Lee completing the top-five finishers.

Tommy Bailey would grab the lead at the start of the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series event and would hold the top spot for the first nineteen circuits of the event until mechanical issues would see his machine stop in turn one and his night would be finished. Lucas Lee would inherit the race lead at that point and lead the remainder of the way to score the victory, with Keith Smith claiming runner-up honors in the event. Fifteenth place starting Clayton Miller would charge to a third-place finish, with Shon Flanary coming home fourth, while Victor Lee would round out the top five. The remainder of the top ten finishers in the event would be Billy Palmer, Logan Kirkman, Jeff Hamby, Blake Brown, and Chris Wilson.
