Does anyone have any idea why some guys have been putting the nose valance on the outiside of the nose? It looks odd to me?

Because the valence on the elephant ears is mounted higher than the valence on the actual nose piece. If you have a different color valence than nose piece then that’s really the only way to get everything even all the way across
