I can't believe that March Madness has been running for 18 years that is awesome and the racing has been pretty wild

No Tazewell?

SAS hasn't been to Tazewell in almost 10 years.

I think a good bet to return to the SAS schedule will be Magnolia Motor Speedway.

Thanks to SAS for not scheduling against the 2 Eldora biggies.

Thanks to SAS for not scheduling against the 2 Eldora biggies. From what I hear that those dates at Oglethorpe and Screven will move back against World 100 per request of those tracks. Just from what I have heard. I have seen no changes announced yet.

Hope not. That’d be dumb. Why would SAS not want their regulars go compete at the biggest race of the year. Hope they tell those tracks can’t happen.

Trust me there is nobody that will run with SAS this year on any year full time that will go Eldora and spend that kind of money just ain't happening. Just look at the cars from the south that are there only the ones that have big money behind them or a crazy owner decides he has go to try it once and spend a butt load of money and not even come close to making the show.

Exactly. If I had to decide between two events that paid $14k total to win within reasonable driving distance or be gone to Eldora for 4-5 days and have a slim chance just to make the main event. I think I'd stick to SAS. But I'm just a keyboard qb so what math don't know...

The point is drivers and owners that run the series trying for a championship should be given the chance and choice to go to Eldora. If it’s a point race you can’t. And I’m not just talking SAS. I’m talking all super series. ....Drivers that would and have gone? Riley Hickman went when running SAS. Did decent. Putnam has went. Hiett, not a SAS regular, but came real close to making the World field. Plenty of past SAS guys have went if the opportunity was given. If fact, I believe every SAS champion has went outside of Perry and Hester. Give em the chance to. No super series should schedule against it. I’ll never see it any different.

The racing world has changed drivers and owners looking for least path of resistance to make money. World 100 is not the least path. Look at how the car count has dropped off at the World 100 over the past years and it is not because of Tony buying the track, or getting too much corporate or Roger Slack or format change, it is because everyone doesn't want to go to Eldora and race.

I remember alot of tracks and series would be off during the Dream weekend. That has also changed over the years.

But still, the opportunity should be there. For all.

So the fans at the local tracks should have to sit home on a Friday and Saturday night because a handful of drivers might lose a few points?

And good track owners and promoters should just let their tracks sit idle while Eldora runs?

How about everyone who doesn't go to the World 100 be forced to take an unpaid week off of work in support of Eldora?

The SAS guys like to just qualify and line up for the feature. They aren’t going to places like Eldora, where you have to actually race your way into the show.

Every promoter I’ve ever discussed it with, had good reasons for shutting down their track the week of the World 100.

*Respect for everything the World 100 means to our sport.

*Respect for their local fans and drivers who’d like to attend the World 100.

*The promoter themselves and his or her family and coworkers, make the annual trip to Eldora..

I think most people in the sport understand this, but I also understand why others continue to race — especially tracks that are several hours from Eldora. The further the distance, the less likely it’s an issue. I’m guessing a lot of tracks discuss it with their drivers before making a decision.
