Pierce caught a break with the caution at lap 15 which moved him closer to the front. The flat at the drop of the green flag dashed his hopes of victory. Junghans and Yaggy both looked stout on the big half mile. Nice to see Chase in victory lane.............one negative, no excuse for the dust problem promoter Wagner.

That track has always been dusty. Was ever since I was wee lad watching the Busch AllStar tour there.

How was the new configuration?

Good for Junghans, he’s had a learning curve but seems to be finding a stride. Not convinced he will run the entire series as someone said but if he does the championship landscape could change. Two notable absences; Phillips, not too surprising, and Jackson, that one does surprise me.

That track has always been dusty. Was ever since I was wee lad watching the Busch AllStar tour there. How was the new configuration? Yes, it was dusty as usual but I've seen it a lot worse. Honestly, it looked like the same old track to me except for the cut down banking in turn four of the small track. I thought last year's MLRA show on the half-mile was much better than last night. It was fun watching Pierce charging from the rear over the last 15 laps - would've liked to have seen another restart or better yet 10 more laps.

Believe someone told me Jackson was doing more asphalt stuff this year.

Good point about the Comp Cams series, their support seems to be growing. Powerslide, hadn't heard that angle about Jackson running more pavement, not easy to find an asphalt race around these parts.

Tony said on social media that he’s getting back into asphalt racing more this year.

Not totally familiar with all the asphalt chassis brands, but I wonder how many Tony will have before switches back to dirt or quits.
