CASEY ROBERTS SCORES $4,000 ULTIMATE SOUTHEAST VICTORY AT DIXIE
WOODSTOCK, GA - Celebrating their 50th anniversary season Dixie Speedway located in Woodstock, Georgia held the return of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series Southeast Region Saturday April 27th. With $4,000 up for grabs; 34 Ultimate Southeast competitors signed into Saturday's event.
Three time Ultimate Southeast Champion Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Georgia scored his twenty first Ultimate Southeast Tour victory Saturday at Dixie to pocket the $4,000. Roberts currently leads the all time win list with the Ultimate Southeast Tour. Casey Roberts, Michael Page, Chris Madden, Justin Shipley, and Jonathan Davenport rounded out the top five finishers. Jason Croft set fast time qualifying with a time of 15.310 seconds to earn the Davis Diesel Service Fast Qualifier award. B-Main winners included Jeff Smith and Gary McPherson. Daulton Wilson and Doug Sanders received Series provisional starting spots.
Justin Shipley led early in the event leading the fist ten circuits around Dixie Speedway until a challenge from Michael Page would earn Page the point while Casey Roberts followed. On lap twenty eight Roberts was able to overtake Page for the lead and led the remaining twelve laps to victory.
The Ultimate Super Late Model Southeast Region will be back in action again on May 18th as the Series will travel to Modoc Raceway located in Modoc, South Carolina for the annual "Jack Starrette Memorial" paying $5,022 to win.
