FASTRAK returns to the high banks of “The Gap” $3,000 to win May 4th
The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance is set to return to Volunteer Speedway for the first time since October of 2012 on May 4th for $3,000 to win and $275 to start. After Mother Nature forced the cancellation of the King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway, “The Gap” will be the second race of the 2019 season for the FASTRAK Racing Series.
“Volunteer Speedway is a great facility,” said FASTRAK Vice President DJ Irvine, “I’m looking forward to seeing the stars and cars of FASTRAK on the high banks.”
Matt Long, of Concord, NC, took home the win in the 2019 Season Opener for the FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance at Toccoa Raceway on April 6th.
Volunteer Speedway will be having open practice, for all divisions, on Friday, May 3rd. The FASTRAK Future Stars Tour will be having their insurance test for drivers under age 16 as well on May 3rd. The FASTRAK Future Stars Tour will have the inaugural race, paying $800 to win for the brand new 602 Late Model tour for drivers ages 13-19.
In addition to the $3,000 pay day, the winner on May 4th will also be receiving a provisional starting spot in the $5,000 to win (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) Yankees 50 at Richmond Raceway KY on September 28th.
