Think its cushion and grandstands for the most part I've been a couple times and don't remember seeing much chair room. Running 9 classes I believe so a cushion, chair and a lortab going to be a necessity.

They are running two complete shows on Friday & Saturday... All of the tracks support classes are running both nights from what I have been told. We though about running the crate portion, but $500 to win is hard to swallow.

BS aside DC..... I assume you'll follow GPS since it's your first trip. Don't let it tempt you with any of the faster routes. Stick to hwy 64 and the Pulaski parkway. If you veer from those youre end up on some piece of a road and stuck behind a horse carriage in Amish country.

It's lightning fast like tazwell but I heard they were takin away some bank. Maybe you can stomach all of it and not feel robbed

Maybe you can stomach all of it and not feel robbedDo not take Buffalo road by all means I went down it a couple years ago running about 60 topped a hill and all I seen was the @$$ end of a Amish buggy I hit the brakes slid across the road jumped the ditch into a bean field and some Weird Al Yankovic looking f#€¥£r peeping around buggy giving me go to hades looks I was expecting to get rolled up on by some black bumper mennonites but luckily got out and gone by the time Levi got there with the mafia. Anybody going to Thunderhill if you get there early and want to kill some time take a ride through Amish country if you've never been before.

The stands has metal coverings where a seat or cushion works, it will be packed. Down front, people take small-med lawn chairs to sit in. The track in the past was a deep very high bank bowl which was so cool to watch the supers run it, one of my favorite tracks. To add, races were over around 12-1:30. www.ThunderhillRacewayPark.com

Wayne County Speedway-$10k Outlaws race with Super Stocks and 4 bangers. That’s it, 3 classes and a rain delay. Plus make up features for the stocks and 4’s first. Late Model feature was done by I think 10:30?

Ran late model heats, 31 cars, did redraw stuff, BMain, 10 minute or so intermission, then late model feature. That’s how ya run a show. And the feature for the late models and Super Stocks was darn good.

The track was watered over from Friday night from time trials and heat races (only feature racing tonight for the other classes), lots of rubber and slick. Slicing and dicing? More like putting the slide on someone and cutting them off, lots of it with some bumping. Heavy traffic making it the thrill on the hill with 20 supers. Hats off to #2 who got put in the back and moved up, charger award.

Is anyone hotter than Ross Bailes and BWRC right now? Seems it's Sheppard/Davenport/Bailes right now in this sport. How did Bailes get around McDowell? Did he pass him in lapped traffic? The Dream 100 will probably answer this question for us. The way Sheppard is running in that Rocket1 house car as well as Davenport, it's hard to say. I'd be happy to see Bailes take the BWRC to victory lane for Barry and his son but there's talk Bloomquist may be making his return to the sport that weekend, as well and everyone knows how dominant he can be at Eldora in the month of June. Then you have the likes of Bobby Pierce who can never be counted out, either.

NorthAlabama
05-19-2019, 10:04 AM
Very heavy traffic. The leader had to pass lap traffic doing 3 wide sometimes as 17m stated. He had to make a call, go around low or high. The leader had to even force his way in between lap cars at a risk of wrecking knowing the next guy was right behind him. Great racing where luck had a part.

05-19-2019, 02:54 PM
Tight racing in lapped traffic is awesome. Especially on a tight track. Had it both last night. Really enjoyed it. So did my group. Ended up being 3 of us. Me, green valley legend now turned city councilman Larry Sandlin and Jason Hiett sponsor / part car owner Joey Phillips. Also ate in Pulaski, TN at Legends Steakhouse. Best prime rib I’ve ever had. Big salad bar. Top notch everything. I highly recommend it. ....now on to the next race. The Clash at the Mag!
