Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series Travels to North Carolina and Tennessee May 16/17/18

BRASSTOWN, NC (May 14, 2019)—The Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels will present three big nights of racing this Thursday May 16, Friday May 17 and Saturday May 18.
On Thursday May 16, the Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series travelers will visit the Ray Cook-owned Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, N.C. racing for $4,000-to-win then on Friday Night May 17 the tour will visit the Lewis Jackson-owned Crossville Speedway in Crossville, Tenn. racing for $4,000-to-win then on Saturday Night May 18 the series will travel to the Jason Walker-owned Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, Tenn. and the event will pay $10,000-to-win.
Thursday will mark the third-ever visit to Tri-County. Former Spring Nationals winners at Tri-County include: Casey Roberts in 2013 and Mike Marlar in 2014. This will mark the third ever appearance to Crossville Speedway for the series as Michael Chilton (2018) and Ricky Weiss (2017) have both been to victory lane. This will mark the first-ever appearance by the series to Thunderhill Raceway Park. In the first five series events this season, there have been three different winners.
On Thursday May 16 at Tri-County Race Track, the Spring Nationals Late Models will race 40 laps for $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start. In addition, the Limited/Crate Late Models will race for $700-to-win, the Interstate Welding Modified Street will compete for $400-to-win, the Street Stocks $300-to-win, Pony $300-to-win, Front Wheel Drives $150-to-win and the 602 Beginner division racing for $150-to-win. The pit gates will open at 4:00 pm, the grandstand gates open at 5:00 pm, the drivers meeting is slated for 7:00 pm and hot laps will be around 7:30 pm. Adult general admission is $20.00 per person, kids 11-16 are $10.00 and children 10 and under are free. Adult pit passes are $35.00, kids 11-16 are $20.00 and kids 10 and under are free.
On Friday May 17 at Crossville Speedway, the Spring Nationals Late Models will compete 40 laps for $4,000-to-win while the Crate Late Model, Sportsman, Front Wheel Drive, Dwarf, Open Wheel Modified, Super Street and Thunder will all be in action. The pit gates will open at 3:00 pm, the grandstands will open at 4:30 pm and the driver’s meeting is slated for 6:30 pm and hot laps will follow. All times are central. Adult general admission is $20.00, adult tier parking is $25.00 and adult pit passes will be $35.00.
On Saturday May 18 at Thunderhill Raceway Park, the Spring Nationals will race 60 laps for $10,000-to-win. Along with the Super Late Models, feature races for the Durrence Layne Late Models, Durrence Layne Big 10 Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Modified Street, Mini Cup, Front Wheel Drive and Mod Lites. The pit gates will open at 4:00 pm, the grandstands will open at 5:00 pm and the driver’s meeting is slated for 6:30 pm and hot laps will follow. All times are central. Adult general admission is $25.00 and adult pit passes will be $40.00.
The tire rule for Tri-County will be as follows: Hoosier 1300, 1350 and 1600 (right-rear option) along with the American Racer 44, 48 and 56 (right-rear option). The tire rule for Crossville and Thunderhill will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600 along with the American Racer 48 and 56.
