ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 11 of the 2019 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series season originally had 17 races on the schedule of events at 16 different tracks over three nights in seven different states. Three races that were schedule to be held over Thursday and Friday nights have already been rained out. That leaves one race on Friday night, and 13 on Saturday night.

There are still nine Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division races, 12 Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division races, seven Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division races, and four Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division races on the Week 11 schedule of events.

The lone Friday night track still in action is Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS with the Street Stocks and the Late Model Sportsman Divisions. With a chance of rain on both Friday night and Saturday night, competitors and fans should keep up with the tracks’ status over the weekend on their web sites and Social Media outlets.

The Thursday night show at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL for the Late Models, Late Model Sportsmen, and Modified Sportsmen was rained out. Friday night shows already called off include Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS for the Late Models and the Street Stocks, and Moulton Speedway in Danville, AL for the Late Models, Street Stocks, Late Model Sportsmen, and the Modified Sportsmen.

All 13 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Saturday night shows on the Week 11 schedule of events are still a go. Camden Speedway in Camden, TN will host the Late Models, Street Stocks, Late Model Sportsmen, and the Modified Sportsmen. The Street Stocks will race for $1,000-to-win on Saturday night at Camden Speedway.

Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN will host the Late Models and the Street Stocks on Saturday night. ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL presents the Street Stocks and the Late Model Sportsmen on Saturday night.

Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS has the Late Models and Street Stocks on Saturday night, and Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS will be in action on Saturday night with the Late Models, Street Stocks, and Late Model Sportsmen. Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA has the Street Stocks in action on Saturday night.

North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL will have all four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions in action on Saturday night with the Late Models, Street Stocks, Late Model Sportsmen, and Modified Sportsmen. Southern Raceway in Milton, FL presents the Street Stocks in action this Saturday night.

Talladega Short Track returns for Saturday night action with the Late Models, Late Model Sportsmen, and Modified Sportsman. Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN has the Late Models, Street Stocks and Modified Sportsmen in action on Saturday night.

Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, KS will have a Late Model event co-sanctioned by the NCRA. Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, LA will host the Street Stocks this Saturday night. Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS will present the Late Models, Street Stocks, and Late Model Sportsmen this Saturday night.

Cole Cameron of Hattiesburg, MS leads the National point standings in the Late Model Division, and 14-year-old Dylan Hamilton of Cantonment, FL is the National point leader in the Street Stock Division. Morgen Lambert of Booneville, MS is the Late Model Sportsman Division National point leader, and Luke Riddle of Hartselle, AL leads the National point standings in the Modified Sportsman Division.

Drivers competing the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing events compete for both a Track point fund and a National point fund. Drivers compete against drivers racing at Durrence Layne Racing sanctioned tracks across the country using a National points system over a 27-week season that concludes on September 29.

A driver’s best 14 weekly point totals count as their season total. The top ten drivers in each of the four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions in National points will earn a seat at the Durrence Layne Racing Annual Awards Banquet to receive a point fund check and a trophy.

The Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series four Divisions are designed around one of two economical Chevrolet Performance Circle Track Engines that are built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications. The Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division can compete with both engines.

The Chevrolet Performance 604 Circle Track Engine is a steel-block, aluminum-head 400 horsepower engine that costs $5,895.00. The Chevrolet Performance 602 Engine is a steel-block, steel-head 350 horsepower engine that costs $3,595.

The Chevrolet Performance 602 Engine is the engine of choice on the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division and the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Modified Sportsman Division. The 602 is the exclusive engine used in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division.
