Smoky Mountain Speedway welcomes Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on June 15

Maryville, Tennessee - Smoky Mountain Speedway welcomes the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Saturday, June 15 for a one-day, $15,000 to win race. The Big Daddy 60 is presented by East Tennessee Auto Outlet.

Defending series champion and current series points leader Jonathan Davenport leads the field heading into the June 15 event at Smoky Mountain Speedway. Earl Pearson Jr. and Tyler Erb are neck-and-neck for second place in the series standings. Other series regulars expected include Devin Moran, Josh Richards, Tim McCreadie, Jimmy Owens, Hudson O'Neal, Don O'Neal, Kyle Bronson, Billy Moyer Jr., Shanon Buckingham, and Stormy Scott.

Other regional and area drivers expected include Chris Madden, Dale McDowell, Mike Marlar, Donald McIntosh, Tommy Kerr, Tanner English, Vic Hill, Robby Moses, Ricky Weiss, Dakotah Knuckles, Ryan King, Brandon Overton, Shane Clanton, and more.

Previous Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series winners at Smoky Mountain Speedway were Casey Roberts in 2014, Randy Weaver in 2016, and Dale McDowell in 2017. The 2018 event was rained out.

Also racing on June 15 will be the limited late models for $1,200 to win and the sportsman late models for $800 to win.

Pit gates open at 12:00. Grandstand and tier parking gates open at 3:00. If traffic begins to back up at the tier parking gate, the gate will be opened early. Be advised as spots in tier parking will quickly fill up. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 6:30 with hot laps to follow beginning at 7:00.

Grandstand ticket prices are $30 for adults, kids 6-11 are $5, and children 5 and under are free. Tier parking tickets are $35 for adults, kids 6-11 are $10, and children 5 and under are free. Pit passes are $40 for adults, kids 11 and under are $20. Minors 18 and under must submit a Minor Release and Waiver of Liability form signed by parent/legal guardian. If form is not signed in the presence of an Smoky Mountain Speedway official, it must be notarized. Forms can be downloaded from the track's web site

Chairs will only be allowed on the concrete areas of the grandstands. Small seatbacks and cushions are permitted elsewhere. Fans that are using large chairs are asked to use the top rows to prevent blocking others view. Anyone wanting a seat on the concrete bleachers are asked to get to the track early. The grandstands can withhold large crowds, however, seating may become limited.

The deadline for media credential requests for the June 15 Lucas Oil race is Tuesday, June 11. No walk-up credentials will be issued. All credential requests will be made through the speedway. Credentials will not be issued to individuals. Credentials must be made by a recognized media organization. Anyone that has covered a prior event this season must submit a new request as credentials do not carry over from event to event. Smoky Mountain Speedway is located 12 miles south of Maryville, Tennessee. From Maryville, take Highway 411 south for 10 miles and turn left onto Brick Mill Road. Follow Brick Mill Road for approximately 2 miles, the racetrack is on the right. The first entrance is for grandstand parking. The second entrance is for tier parking and campground access. The pit entrance is the next right on Crye Road.
