Crossville and Smoky Mountain Next Up for Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series June 28, June 29

-Brucebilt Iron-Man Modified Series Also in Action at Smoky Mountain for $2,000 to win-

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 23, 2019) – The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will return to competition with a pair of East Tennessee racing venues as the tour will visit Crossville Speedway in Crossville, TN on Friday June 28 for a $3,000 to win and $300 to start event and Saturday June 29 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN for the 15th Annual Iron-Man Moonshine Classic, also paying $3,000 to win and $300 to start, while the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will also be in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway on Saturday June 29 racing for $2,000 to win and $150 to start.

The tour will start the weekend on Friday June 28 at Crossville Speedway in Crossville, TN and will see the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series competitors in action in a 40 lap, $3,000 to win/$300 to start main event. Joining the Iron-Man Late Model Series for competition at Crossville Speedway on Friday June 28 will be the track’s Crate Late Model, $600-to-win Open Wheel Modified, Sportsman, Street Stock, Front Wheel Drive, and Dwarf divisions. The pit area will open at 4:00 p.m., while general admission and tier parking will open at 5:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:45 p.m., with practice set for 7:00 p.m. (all times listed are Central Time). Ticket prices for the June 28 event at Crossville Speedway in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, with admission tier parking $25, while a pit pass will be $35.

Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN will conclude the racing weekend on Saturday June 29 with the 15th Annual Iron-Man Moonshine Classic for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series tour that will feature a 30 lap, $3,000 to win/$300 to start main event. The Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series will also be in competition on Saturday June 29 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in a 20 lap, $2,000 to win/$150 to win contest. The Durrence Layne Late Model Series will also be on the racing card and will be in action for $3,000 to win. Pit gates will open at 2:00 p.m., with the general admission area and tier parking area opening at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:30 p.m., with practice starting at 7:00 p.m. (all times listed are Eastern Time). Ticket prices for the June 29 event at Smoky Mountain Speedway in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, $25 for adults in tier parking, and a pit pass will be $35.

The tire rule for the Super Late Models for both events will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600; American Racer 48 and 56. The 29.0 size tires will NOT be allowed on the left rear of the race cars. The series Droop Rule WILL be in effect at both events. The entry fee for each event is $100 and any driver not making the 22-car starting field each night will receive $50 tow money. Random tire samples will be taken by the series.

A $200 bonus for the highest finishing all steel engine will be paid for Friday's race at Crossville Speedway from the series.

The tire rule for the Open Wheel Modifieds are as follows: Hoosier M30 or M60 and American Racer Hard and Extra Hard. The Hoosier M60 and American Racer Extra Hard may be used as a right-rear option. The series runs under UMP technical rules. The entry fee for the event will be $50. Random tire samples will be taken by the series.
