ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Cole Cameron of Hattiesburg, MS padded his Durrence Lyne Chevrolet Late Model Division National point lead with his second win of the season on Friday night in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series action at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS driving the Cameron Motor Company Special.

Cameron has 521 points with two wins, nine top five finishes and 11 top ten finishes in 12 races over 11 weeks of Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series competition. Cameron holds a 62-point lead over second-place Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS. Week 13 marked the halfway point of the 27-week Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series season.

Scarbrough has 459 points after three wins, eight top five finished and 12 top ten finishes in 12 races over ten weeks of racing. Scarbrough took his third Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model win of the season on Saturday night with a 40-point victory at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS driving the Villa South Special.

Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL is third in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division National standings with 434 points. Mitchell has the second highest Weekly Point Average (WPA) among the Top 20 drivers in the standings at 48.22 out of a possible 50. Mitchell has four wins, 11 top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes in 12 races over nine weeks of competition.

Mitchell finished sixth on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL driving the Sparks Energy Rocket. Mitchel has a three-point advantage over the fourth-place driver, Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS. Jarrell drove the Jarrell Racing Rocket to a third-place finish on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway. Jarrell has one win, ten top five finishes and 11 top ten finishes in 11 races over nine weeks. He has the fifth highest WPA at 47.89.

Steve Russell of Pontotoc, MS is fifth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division National standings with 425 points after two wins, eight top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in ten races over nine weeks of competition. Russell drove the Steele’s Dive Special to a seventh-place finish on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway. Russell has the seventh highest WPA at 47.22.

Spencer Hughes of Meridian, MS has the highest WPA among the Top 20 in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division National standings at 49.67. Hughes is 17th in the standings with 298 points after five wins and seven top five finishes in eight races over six weeks driving the B.J.’s Tire and Service Center Special.

In other Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Week 13 action for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division, Cruz Skinner of Oxford, AL took the win on Friday night at Moulton Speedway in Danville, AL driving the Skinner’s Body Shop Special. Ryan Colby of Greenville, MS drove the Washington Body Shop Special to victory on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS.

Mother Nature dampened Week 13 with four rainouts on Saturday night. Week 13 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division action was washed out at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN, Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, and Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN. Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS did not report their Week 13 results.
