ADAIRSVILLE, GA Jeremy Eaton of Wiggins, MS kept his Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National title hopes alive on Friday night, as he drove the Parkers Towing Special to his sixth win of the season in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series action at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS.
Eaton moved up to the fifth spot in the Street Stock National standings with 466 points after six wins, nine top five finishes and ten top ten finishes in ten races over ten weeks. Eaton still has four weeks to earn full points before he reaches the 14-week mark and will begin netting point by trying to replace his lowest weekly point totals with a higher one.
Point leader Dylan Hamilton of Cantonment, FL finished second on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL driving the Hamilton Motorsports Special. The 14-year-old driver has 528 points after two wins, ten top five finishes, and 11 top ten finishes in 11 races over 11 weeks. Hamilton has a 16-point lead over Joseph Nicholson of Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Nicholson has 512 points after one top five finish and 12 top ten finishes in 13 races over 12 weeks. Nicholson drove the Nicholson Racing Special to an eighth-place finish Saturday night at Southern Raceway. Nicholson has two more weeks to earn full points.
Hayden Moran of Covington, LA is third in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National standings with 510 points. Moran has two wins, eight top five finishes, and 11 top ten finishes in 15 races over 11 weeks. Moran finished seventh on Friday night at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS driving the We Buy Junk Cars Special.
Doug Taylor of Angie, LA is fourth in the National Street Stock standings with 495 points after four top five finishes and 13 top ten finishes in 13 races over 13 weeks. Taylor raced to a fifth-place finish on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in the Taylors Beef Jerky Special.
