Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series Shifts Date at Tri-County Race Track to August 23
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 27, 2019) – The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com was set to make its first-ever appearance at the Ray Cook promoted Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, NC as part of the track’s Independence Day Championship on Friday July 5, but due to a scheduling conflict with a pair of other Late Model series, that date has been moved and will now take place on Friday August 23 at the picturesque and historic North Carolina racing venue.
With the rainy weather that has seen so many rainouts and affected not only Tri-County Race Track, but many other tracks and series as well, the track had actually booked the Iron-Man Late Model Series, Southeastern Late Model Series, and the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series by mistake all on the same date as part of trying to make-up events that had been previously rained out at the track earlier this season. The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will be now be in competition at Tri-County Race Track on Friday August 23, paying $3,000 to win, while the Southeastern Late Model Series date will go to Monday September 2. The Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models will still be featured at Tri-County Race Track on Friday July 5.
The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com upcoming events are Friday June 28 at Crossville Speedway in Crossville, TN ($3,000 to win), Saturday June 29 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN ($3,000 to win), and Wednesday July 3 at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN $5,000 to win).
