Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series Celebrates America’s Birthday at Tazewell Speedway July 3
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 29, 2019) – The Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com will celebrate America’s 243rd birthday in grand style on Wednesday July 3 at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN with the Firecracker 40 event that will pay $5,000 to win for Super Late Model racers. Along with the explosive action that is sure to take place on the track better known as “The Bad Fast Taz”, track promoter Gary Hall and staff will also have a firework show to commemorate the celebration of our country’s Independence Day.
Tazewell Speedway will be the site of the Firecracker 40 on Wednesday July 3 and will see the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Championship Late Model Series presented by DirtonDirt.com in action in a 40 lap, $5,000 to win/$450 to start main event. Joining the Super Late Models in action at Tazewell Speedway on Wednesday July 3 will be the track’s Sportsman, Super Street, Street Stock, Classic, and Four Cylinder divisions. Activities at Tazewell Speedway on Wednesday July 3 will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area opening at 5:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 7:15 p.m. and practice will begin when the sun goes down over the hill. Ticket prices for the Wednesday July 3 event at Tazewell Speedway in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will be $35.
The tire rule for the Super Late Models for this event will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600 or American Racer 48 and 56. The 29.0 size tires will NOT be allowed on the left rear of the race cars. The series Droop Rule WILL be in effect. The entry fee for the event is $100 and any driver not making the 22-car starting field each night will receive $50 tow money. Random tire samples will be taken by the series.
