It was refreshing and also encouraging to see the car count and the racing on Wednesday night's Super Late Model field. Car count's have fluctuated all over the country with our area no exception. We drew 24 cars for a "regular" weekly purse. The racers raced their keysters off as it went 30 green. While winner Dallas Cooper had to work his duff off during the race working traffic, the star of the show in my view was Tim Busha. He busted out a never been on the dirt fresh Black Diamond car with a new 18 degree engine. Timed in mid pack, started 8th, dropped down to 11th on the first lap. then waded thru the field grabbing second. Had it been a 31 or 32 lapper, he might have won it.

The track was right, graded, bladed, sheeps-footed for 3 days and watered just right to allow the racers and their cars to perform. The track was glass smooth and multi-grooved, it was nice. Thank you to all the 24 who came out mid-week on a holiday eve to entertain the fans in the stands.

Super Late Models rock!
