Morgan Bagley Captures Louisiana Late Model Series Chatham Checkers
COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Doubleheader Next

Longview, Texas (07/08/19) – Morgan Bagley claimed his first victory of the 2019 season on Saturday night in his P&W Sales No. 14m GottaRace.com / Black Diamond Race Car/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model. The $2,000 victory came at Chatham Speedway with the Louisiana Late Model Racing Series.

“It’s been a while since we got a win, so this was a big shot in the arm for our team,” Bagley commented. “We decided to take this year and race closer to home and get everything back where it needs to be with our team. We’ve been gaining speed each week and we’ve had several runner-up finishes, so I knew we were getting close to where we needed to be. We were able to put it altogether at Chatham on Saturday night and get the win.

“I want to thank my car owners, Wayman and Kay Lynn McMillan for their great support. I also want to thank all of our family, friends, and sponsors for their great support as well. Hopefully this is the first of many wins to come during the second half of the year.

Morgan Bagley kicked off a holiday weekend tripleheader with the Louisiana Late Model Series on Thursday evening at Thunder Valley Speedway (Glenmora, Louisiana), where the Jackie Thacker II Memorial took center stage. Drawing 26 cars, Bagley locked his spot into the opening night feature with a runner-up finish in his heat. Rolling off eighth for the feature, Morgan got collected in a tangle that ended his night early.

On Friday at ShowTime Speedway (Many, Louisiana), Morgan started the night with a heat race victory, which positioned him third on the starting grid for the A-Main. Advancing one position, Bagley posted a runner-up finish behind Robbie Stuart with B.J. Robinson, Jason Papich, and Rob Litton rounding out the Top-5.

The following night at Chatham Speedway (Chatham, Louisiana), Bagley visited victory lane for the first time of the season in the feature, outrunning Robbie Stuart, Brandon Hightower, Rob Litton, and B.J. Robinson in the 30-lap affair. He earned a $2,000 payday for his triumph.

Team 14 will be idle this weekend before returning to competition on June 19-20 with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series. Action opens with a $2,500-to-win program at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Arkansas) before shifting to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) on Saturday night or a $3,000-to-win affair.

Morgan is currently fifth in the latest series’ standings. For more information on the events, please visit www.COMPdirt.com .
