ADAIRSVILLE, GA – The Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division will be the busiest of the four Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series Divisions in Week 16 action with 12 races in five different states on the schedule of events. A tight points race and a pair of $1,000-to-win races will highlight the competition.

A pair of Friday night races will open the 16th of 27 weeks in Durrence Layne Performance Street Stock Division Weekly Racing Series action. Friday night races will be held at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS and at Moulton Speedway in Danville, AL.

North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL will host a special $1,000-to-win race for the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division on Saturday night. Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN will also pay $1,000-to-win on Saturday night.

The Volunteer State will also host Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division Saturday night races at Camden Speedway in Camden, TN, and Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN. ECM Speedway in Arkadelphia, AL has the Street Stocks in action on Saturday night, as will Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA, and Southern Raceway in Milton, FL.

Mississippi will be a busy state for the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division on Saturday night with races scheduled for Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS, Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS.

Dylan Hamilton of Cantonment, FL leads the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National point standings. The 14-year-old driver has a two point lead over Hayden Moran of Covington, LA. Joseph Nicholson is third in the standings and has reached the 14-week mark of his season. Nicholson will now be trying to net on a 25, while Hamilton and Moran still have a week to earn full points.

Drivers racing in Durrence Layne Weekly Racing events compete for both a Track point fund and a National point fund. Drivers compete against drivers racing at Durrence Layne Racing sanctioned tracks across the country using a National points system over a 27-week season that concludes on September 29.

A driver’s best 14 weekly point totals count as their season total. Once a driver reaches 14 weeks of competition, they start trying to net points by replacing the lowest weekly total among their best 14 weekly totals with a higher one. A driver can only count their best point total each week as their total for that week.

The top ten drivers in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National point standings will earn a seat at the Durrence Layne Racing Annual Awards Banquet to receive a point fund check and a trophy.

Doug Taylor of Angie, LA is fourth in the Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Stock Division National point standings with one more week to earn full points. Jeremy Eaton of Wiggins, MS is fifth in the Street Stock points chase and he still has three more weeks to earn full points to stay in the National Championship hunt.
