Super late...650 HP...LM30 tire. 1310 or 1330 u-joint?

Also I'm piecing together a QC with a magnesium Frankland center section and Winters 8 rib aluminum bells. I have both a steel and an aluminum spool. I'm leaning towards the steel spool. Needs a driveshaft flange.

I also have a Winters Sprint mag QC in my old wide combo chassis. If I use this I'd need to change the tubes since this deal has 32/37 axles.

I have a few driveshafts... I figure I'd just buy a flange that matches the driveshafts.

Going in my Smackdown chassis.

Anyone see any issues?

1310's are fine.

Aluminum spool is fine as well, as long as your weight isnt really high, over 2500 / 2600 lbs i would guess. Just make sure there fully engaged into the spool, we stripped one out this year, moved outboard and stripped when we hit a rut.

Thanks.

I asked because two if the driveshafts I have are setup with conversion joints...1310 to 1330.

I have a couple 1330's in stock.

Yeah i always hated using the conversion u Joints, when we ran Mods with 9" that was thing you had to do unless you had 1310 yokes for the 3rd member, and at one time they were not real common. So the conversion joint was the trick. So would guess them to shafts were set up for a 9".

The 1330's have the wider spread, and slightly bigger caps? If you have a yoke for the rear end for them, those would be good too.

Don't have a QC yoke...most of what I've seen have been for the 1310 joint.
