Provisional starting spot for ULTIMATE’s $20,059 to win Butterball Memorial announced. Carnesville, GA – A provisional starting spot for the richest race in ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series is up for grabs at Richmond Raceway on July 20th. The winner of the 5th Annual Butch Shay Memorial, paying $5,000 to win on July 20th, will receive a provisional starting spot in the $20,059 to win 32nd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial on August 16th and 17th. The 5th Annual Buckeye Late Model Dirt Weeks will bring the stars of the ULTIMATE Mid-Ohio Valley Super Late Model Series and ULTIMATE Heart of America Super Late Model Series together for the opening weekend at Richmond Raceway. The mini-tour kicks off on July 19th with the $3,000 to win Prelude to the Butch Shay Memorial. The $5,000 to win 5th Annual Butch Shay Memorial will be held the following night at the Richmond, KY oval. Both races will pay $400 to start. Richmond Raceway will be awarding a provisional starting spot for the Butch Shay Memorial to the winner of the track’s Super Late Model feature on July 6th. Recently announced was a format change and purse increase for the 32nd Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial. Qualifying and heat races will be held for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series on August 16th with B-Mains and the $20,059 to win feature scheduled for August 17th. Three ULTIMATE regions will come together for the Butterball Memorial, including the Southeast, Heart of America, and Mid-Ohio Valley. The race is a bonus race opportunity for drivers of the Deep South and Northeast regions of ULTIMATE, who can use their finish in the Butterball Memorial to replace a lower finish within their home region.
