ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN has been added to the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series schedule for Saturday night, August 17, which now gives America’s Leader In Racing a Tennessee Two-Step weekend. The Duck River Raceway Park event now joins the August 16 race at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN.
The Duck River Raceway Park race will be a $2,500-to-win $250-to-start 50-lap race on Saturday night, April 17. The Smoky Mountain Speedway race will kick off the two-race weekend with a $2,000-to-win $200-to-start 40-lap event on Friday night, August 16.
The Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will make its first visit to Duck River Raceway Park since August 18, 2007 when the race winner was Frank Ingram of Acworth, GA. Duck River Raceway Park is also a 2019 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series sanctioned track featuring the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model and Durrence Layne Performance Parts Street Divisions.
The series will also be making their second stop of the season at Smoky Mountain Speedway. Two-time Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Champion Cory Hedge(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) of Loudon, TN took the win at Smoky Mountain Speedway on June 29.
The Smoky Mountain Speedway Race and the Duck River Raceway Park events will Rounds 9 and 10 respectively on the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series National Touring schedule. Series officials said announcements about more additions to the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series will be forthcoming.
