Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series Opens with action at Smoky Mountain and North Georgia

BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA (August 12, 2019)—The Inaugural edition of the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels will kick off in a huge way on Friday August 16 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. followed by Saturday August 17 at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Ga.
On Friday August 16th at the Smoky Mountain Speedway, the Fall Nationals Late Models will race for $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start. In addition, the Durrence Layne Late Models will race for $2,000-to-win, the Limited Late Models will race for $1,200-to-win followed by the Sportsman racing for $800-to-win. Adult general admission is $20.00 per person with tier parking $25.00 per person and $35.00 in the pits. The pit gates will open at 4:00 pm, the grandstands and tier parking will open at 5:00 pm, the drivers meeting is slated for 6:35 pm and hot laps will roll out around 7:00 pm.
On Saturday August 17 at the North Georgia Speedway, the Fall Nationals Late Models will race for $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start. In addition, the Red Clay 602 Late Models will race for $1,000-to-win. The Crate Late Models, B-Hobby, Pony/FWD and Beginner classes will all be in action. Adult general admission is $25.00 per person with trackside/spectator fence parking and $40.00 in the pits. The pit gates will open at 3:00 pm, the grandstands and tier parking will open at 5:00 pm, the drivers meeting is slated for 6:30 pm and hot laps will roll out around 7:00 pm.
The tire rule for the Super Late Models for both events will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 and 1600; American Racer 48 and 56. The 29.0 size tires will NOT be allowed on the left rear of the race cars. The series Droop Rule WILL be in effect at all series events. The entry fee for each event is $100 and any driver not making the 22-car starting field each night will receive $75 tow money. Random tire samples will be taken by the series.
