Jimmy Mars Captures Third Straight Duane Mahder 55 Win to Cap Off Special Night!

(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Menomonie, Wisconsin star Jimmy Mars scored his third overall win in 2019 and his third straight 'Duane Mahder 55' title on Friday night, August 16 at his hometown Red Cedar Speedway! Jimmy dominated the evening, as he won his heat race in preliminary action, started the 40-lap WISSOTA Challenge Series main event from the pole position, and later led each and every circuit to pocket the $5,555 top prize over A.J. Diemel, Rick Hanestad, Chad Mahder, and Lance Matthees. Picking up his largest payday of the 2019 season to date was not the biggest moment of Jimmy's night; however, as his 15-year-old son Sam Mars won his first Limited Late Model feature event to give the Mars family a very special father-son sweep! Full results from Red Cedar Speedway can be located online at www.redcedarspeedway.com.

“It was a very special night on Friday at Red Cedar and I’m so proud of Sam for getting his first win,” quoted Mars earlier today via telephone. “Getting to visit victory lane is a cool experience and when you can get your first win at your hometown track in front of a bunch of family and friends, it makes it even sweeter. As for our car, it was fast all night long and we were able to get another Duane Mahder 55 title, which is very special to me. We have a lot of work to do at the shop on customer cars and our own stuff, so we will be busy getting everything done in time to go racing again over Labor Day weekend down in Illinois and at Eldora.”

Jimmy and his Mars Racing team are slated to take the upcoming August 23-24 weekend off from racing action, but will be busy at the shop preparing their equipment for a hectic Labor Day weekend. Jimmy is scheduled to tackle Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois, Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois, and Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from August 30-September 1. All three special events over the holiday weekend will boast a $5,000 winner’s check. You can keep up on the latest schedule plans for the #28 team by clicking on www.jimmymarsracing.com.
