Donald McIntosh Wires Fall Nationals at Thunderhill for $5k Payday
49th Annual World 100 Set for this Weekend

Dawsonville, Georgia (09/04/19) – Saturday night at Tennessee’s Thunderhill Raceway Park found Donald McIntosh dominating the $5,000-to-win event in his Blount Motorsports No. 7m Ole Ben Franklin Motors/ Stowers Cat/ XR1 Rocket Chassis/ Vic Hill Racing Engine Super Late Model.

The win marked his second Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals win of the season and his sixth victory overall.

“This car was really awesome,” McIntosh said after winning Saturday night’s event at Thunderhill Raceway Park. “I feel like the racetrack was really good too, because I could get under them on the bottom side or the top side, so I really don't think it latched up. I could put it wherever I wanted it, and when the car’s that good it makes my job easy. We ran well in the Southern Nationals race at Thunderhill earlier this year but had a flat. This time we dominated and for once everything worked out just like we planned it.”
Donald McIntosh returned to competition with the Schaeffer’s Fall Nationals on Saturday evening at Thunderhill Raceway Park (Summertown, Tennessee), where he kicked off the Labor Day weekend doubleheader. McIntosh locked his spot into the opening night feature with the fastest lap in time trials.

Rolling off the feature grid from the pole position, Donald dominated all 50-laps to capture his sixth win of the season and a $5,000 payday. Dane Dacus, Pierce McCarter, Brad Skinner, and Eric Hickerson rounded out the Top-5.

The following night at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tennessee), for the Buddy Rogers Memorial, Donald logged the sixth-fastest time in his qualifying group which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win finale. Breaking into the Top-5, McIntosh improved eight spots to record a fourth-place finish behind Dakotah Knuckles, David Payne, and Jason Trammell with David Crabtree coming in 5th.

On the heels of his weekend performances, Donald has further extended his advantage atop the Schaeffer’s Oil Fall Nationals point standings. For full results and the latest series’ standings, please visit www.SouthernNationalsSeries.com .

The weekend begins with twin $10,000-to-win features on both Thursday and Friday night, while the weekend draws to a thrilling conclusion on Saturday night with a $52,000-to-win finale.
