Brandon Kinzer Advances into Baltes Classic at Eldora Speedway

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) The Kinzer Motorsports team invaded the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sunday evening, September 1 for the annual running of the 'Baltes Classic.' The American Late Model Series (ALMS) showdown drew a strong field of competitors to the "Big E" to vie for the $5,000 winner's check.

Brandon Kinzer stopped the clock third quickest in his group during qualifying and later grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the eighth row in the 30-lap sprint, Brandon unfortunately bottomed out on the first circuit of the headliner and folded the nose under his right front tire. The Lexington, Kentucky driver wound up pulling off the racing surface due to the damage and was officially placed twenty-first in the final finishing order. Full results from the 1/2-mile, high-banked venue can be viewed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

Brandon and his #18 team have opted not to return to Eldora Speedway for this weekend’s 49th Annual ‘World 100.’ Several crew members will be on hand; however, to assist pseudo-teammate Dale McDowell in his effort to capture the whopping $52,000 top prize in our industry’s most prestigious event. While Brandon will be taking the upcoming September 6-7 weekend off from competition, he will be scouring track and series schedules to figure out when and where he will sling dirt next.
