Red Clay Series Prepares to End 2019 Season with a Bang
Over $23,000 in Purse Money on the Line Over the Next Month

Rockmart, Georgia (09/10/19) – The Red Clay Series 602 Late Models are approaching the homestretch of their sophomore season. While the year may be close to drawing to a close the purses and the action are about to reach an all-time high.

“We are wrapping up the 2019 campaign with four nights of racing at three different facilities with more than $23,000 in cash and prizes on the line,” series director Trevor Thompson revealed. “We’ve had a lot of great support from racers and fans this season, and it’s allowed our series to grow more than we ever expected. Hopefully, we’ll have a great turnout at these final four events, so that we can plan an even bigger 2020 campaign.”

The lucrative stretch opens on Saturday, September 28 at Georgia’s Blue Ridge Motorsports Park with the second annual Thunder on the Mountain. The event boasts a $1,500 winner’s check with a total purse of $5,500.

Next on the docket, the tour thunders into Patriots Park Raceway (Dublin, Georgia) on October 4-5 for the KRC Power Steering Clash on the High Banks. Friday night’s program posts a $1,000 winner’s check, while Saturday night will reward the victor with a $1,500 top prize. More than $9,000 in total purse money is on the line.

For the Patriots Park Raceway weekend, traction shocks will be allowed and cars with reverse mount fuel pumps must weigh 2,450 lbs per track rules. American Racer South will give away one tire per night to the highest finisher, who is running American Racers.

The season roars to a close on Saturday, October 19 at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) with the inaugural Shock Wars event. The lucrative finale pays $2,000-to-win and $150-to-start. The program has a total purse of over $9,000, which marks the richest in series history. For this event the series will operate under Senoia Raceway shock and fuel rules. There’s a $200 bonus posted to the highest finishing car that is in 100% compliance with Red Clay Series shock rules.

Each race will offer a $100 Boyd Bilt Fabrication Fast Time Award and a $100 #FATBOYRACING Dash for cash for the Top-6 qualifiers. In addition, products and products certificates are up for grabs from KRC Power Steering, Knowles Race Parts, Truform Race Products and Bernheisel Race Components.

On the heels of three wins this season, Booger Brooks currently leads the latest series points over Jacob Parris, Colton Jackson, Jesse Goss and Derek Franks.
