I’d assume Brent Larson again, but if they are moving on, maybe Lanigan?

Thought they might go to Bloomer and have him run the WoO series😱 with Madden and Weiss

Probably out of business. I have never seen Dryden in a store and the amount of sponsorship there giving out is crazy lol

I've never seen Schaeffers Oil in a store in my area but somehow they've been around for quite awhile and sponsor tons of racing. Same with Lucas Oil, never saw it until Autozone started handling it a few years ago.

Maybe they'll just take that $$$ and up Logan Schuchart's sponsorship on the WoO sprint tour since he's getting them exposure in victory lane.

Would be nice to see them on a competitive car. That's the best way I know to keep them around longer.

Winning is likely the least important thing to a sponsor...it's more about the relationshsip they have with the driver and team. And how well they promote their sponsor's product via social media, fan relations, personal appearances, media relations, etc.

Lots of things play an important part in keeping a sponsor happy....

Believe Drydene was originally going with Eckert. When he decided not to tour with WOO they moved over to Larson.

I think with Eckert you have seen a guy who can still get it done, I think the difference with him winning a bunch of races this year is that he is prepared when he heads to the track because he isn’t up and down the road with limited help. Races every other weekend or what not and has won at several tracks. Some say he is back in his comfort zone at track he knows but personally I think as long as Eckert was on WoO tour it’s more about being prepared.

What is Drydene ? See it on the WoO heats but other than that it's unknown to me.

They are also sponsoring the NASCAR race at Dover next week.

What a waste of corporate cash, hate to say it but the dude sucks a$$. Every time i have seen Larson i wonder WTF. Eckert doesn’t set the world on fire but it would be money better spent.

Hell I thought it was chewing gum.
Not very effective advertising for me.

Brent Does a ton of events to represent the company at a lot of these tracks that they go in visit on tour. He does a ton to represent that company. So if you think he just slapped their logo on the car and that is all he does you're far from the truth.

I've bought just as much Drydene as I have Miller Bros Coal.

I don't disagree with that, but I did not say 'winning', I said competitive. It's all a big package. Being a media darling is nothing if you don't run well enough to get you in front of the media and being competitive doesn't do much good if you're a jacka$$ once your performance gets you the attention.

Krooser is on the right track, winning is only part of the package. Larson may well be a better promotional person than some of the jugheads that only know how to say “give me money”. WOO may well play in to it as well with Larson’s commitment to the series.

At least you can admit winning (or at least being being competitive) plays a part. Larson does not win and is seldom competitive.

Larson was a just above average Wissota racer.

I may have missed it but does anyone have an estimate of how much this sponsorship amounts to?

I always assumed that Larson got that Drydean deal through Arnie Ranta.

Sprint cars is where I think they will spend a lot more focus on. Logan Schuchart has given them huge exposure this season, and with the popularity of sprint cars still very high and growing in spots I think that's a smart decision. Some of the best races Ive been to this year have been 410 sprint cars events.

I've heard the same thing about the Drydene sponsorship. Arnie Ranta could have teamed with Eckert and Larson would have been out in the cold, instead he stayed with his long time friend Larson and arranged the deal so Larson is the benefactor and Eckert is out in the cold. This exchange stopped Eckert's run with the WoO and insured Larson another year on the WoO tour. I guess that Arnie felt more comfortable with his equipment being at Larson's shop a few miles away rather then Eckert's shop 1,000+ miles away.
