Brandon Kinzer Eyes Upcoming TST Double-Dip Following Solid Smoky Mountain Run

(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Kinzer Motorsports made their way to Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee on Saturday, September 28 for the annual running of the 'King of the Mountain Fall Classic.' The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) presided over the single-day shootout at SMS and a $7,500 winner's check was up for grabs for the 26 competitors that piled into the pit area.

Brandon Kinzer grabbed the third transfer spot through his B-Main to earn the inside of the eighth row for the start of the 50-lap headliner. BK then moved forward during the course of the 'King of the Mountain Fall Classic' and steered his #18 Sweet-Bloomquist machine up to as high as the sixth position primarily utilizing the bottom groove of the racy oval. Brandon was then; however, stuck on the outside of a couple of restarts and lost several spots late in the contest to wind up eleventh in line at the pay window. Complete results can be located online at www.sasdirt.com.

The #18 team is scheduled to take the upcoming October 4-5 weekend off from racing action, but will venture south to Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on October 11-12. Accompanying NASCAR’s visit across the road at Talladega Superspeedway, action will get underway on Friday night at TST with a $2,000 to win, unsanctioned program. The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series will then roll into town on Saturday evening to sanction the annual ‘BJ Parker Memorial,’ which boasts a $4,200 top prize. More information on the doubleheader weekend at the track deemed as the “Hornets Nest” can be found by clicking on www.talladegashorttrack.com.
