Delmas Conley Runner-Up in Visit to Atomic Speedway; Rod and J.T. Close Behind

(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) A trio of Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) drivers converged at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Saturday evening, September 28 for a weekly show for the ground-pounding Super Late Models. Hall of Famer Delmas Conley led the charge and had the best night overall, as the ageless wonder earned Fast Time honors of the 18 entrants during qualifying prior to running second in his heat race. Delmas then blasted up to second in the $2,000 to win headliner to earn a strong runner-up performance behind only victor Duane Chamberlain.

His son Rod Conley ran second in heat race action before knocking down a solid fifth place effort in the A-Main, while his grandson J.T. Conley placed fourth in his heat race and seventh in the weekly feature event. Full results from last Saturday at Atomic Speedway can be accessed online at www.atomicspeedway.net.

The Conley’s are all scheduled to enjoy the upcoming October 4-5 weekend away from racing activities. Next up on the racing calendar for R.J. and J.T. Conley will be a visit to Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday night, October 11 for the track’s ‘Championship Night,’ which boasts a $3,000 top prize for the Super Late Models. All four CMI drivers – Delmas, Rod, R.J., and J.T. – will then travel north to the Chillicothe area on Saturday, October 12 for the annual ‘Fall 50’ at Atomic Speedway, as a $5,000 winner’s check will be up for grabs.
