ADAIRSVILLE, GA – There is just one race on the Week 29 schedule of the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division season, and that is on Saturday night at 81 Speedway in Wichita, KS. Week 29 is also the final week of competition in the Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series. This race should have no effect in the Top 10 of the points, unless a Southeastern driver wants to make a long road trip.
Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS has clinched the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division National Championship and will pick up a check for $10,000 at the Durrence Layne Racing Annual Awards Banquet. Lee has a best 14-week total of 699 points.
Braden Mitchell of Russellville, AL is second in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division National standings with a best 14-week total of 691 points. Steve Russell of Pontotoc, MS and Sid Scarbrough of Florence, MS are tied for the third spot, as each driver has a best 14-total of 688 points. Russell has the tie-breaker advantage with five 50-point wins to four 50-point wins for Scarbrough.
Cole Cameron of Hattiesburg, MS rounds out the Top 5 of the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division standings with a best 14-week total of 685 points. The Top 10 drivers in the National standings earn a seat at the Awards Banquet table and will receive a point fund check and a trophy.
Seth McCormack of Muscle Shoals, AL is sixth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Division standings with a best 14-week total of 672 points, and Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS is seventh with a best 14-week total of 670 points. Oakley Johns of Hohenwald, TN is eighth with a best 14-week total of 664 points, and Ben Brocato of Muscle Shoals, AL is ninth with a best 14-week total of 663 points. Tootie Arnold of Meadeville, MS rounds out the Top 10 with a best 14-week total of 648 points.
