ADAIRSVILLE, GA – Week 29 is final week of competition for the 2019 Durrence Layne Weekly Racing Series season. There will be three races over two days at two tracks making up the Week 29 schedule of events for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division.
Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL will host Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division races on Friday night and Saturday night, and Southern Raceway in Milton, FL will present the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division on Saturday night.
Bryson Mitchell of Russellville, AL has clinched the 2019 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National Championship with a Perfect Season represented with a best 14-week total of 700 points. Behind Mitchell, drivers are still competing for the nine points fund paying spots remaining in the Top 10 of the National standings.
Cole Brown of Cullman, AL and Blake Ray of Russellville, AL are tied for the second spot in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National point standings. Each driver has a best 14-week total of 682 points. Brown has the tie-breaker advantage with more 50-point wins than Ray. Donovan Henry of Muscle Shoals, AL is fourth with a best 14-week total of 677 points.
Cruz Wallace of Tuscumbia, AL is fifth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National standings with a best 14-week total of 676 points, and Doodle Lowe of Warrior, AL is sixth with a best 14-week total of 673 points. Ryan King of Anniston, AL and Austin Steele of Moulton, AL are tied for the seventh spot, each driver with a best 14-week total of 671 points. King has the tie-breaker advantage.
Justin Angle of Anniston, AL is ninth in the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Late Model Sportsman Division National standings with a best 14-week total of 667 points, and Silas Hamm of Rogersville, AL rounds out the Top 10 with a best 14-week total of 666 points.
