Saw on his facebook that he has a new Rocket XR1 and will be at Lucas Oil with it this weekend. Good to see him back in a Late Model!

Hope Gustin does well. He can wheel it...always enjoyed watching him in a SLM.

Go 18!!

He won at lucas oil speedway, there having a two day mlra/comp cams sanctioned race, not sure who owns it though, its a all black bodied xr1 with a couple big tristar engines stickers on it. It's pretty plain lookin car but I do remember his mod having the same sponsor as well..... someone will know though

I don’t remember him saying anything about family time. I just remember him losing the Gressel ride and their late model along with it.

You are right, wrong mod guy. My bad.

Not sure the owner. He’s ran his own mod the last couple seasons so maybe he is the owner. He acknowledged Tri Star and his crew for making it possible is all I heard. Bruning looked good in the Capital but Gustin got to him in lapped traffic and typical Gustin used it to his advantage. Once in front, around lap 30 as I recall, he pulled away to a comfortable margin. Good feature. Started early due to cold weather and had to rework the track a couple times but worth it. Time trials were a joke with early draws having a big advantage due to sun and wind blistering the surface. But I am not a time trial fan so don’t look for objectivity from me.

I saw a photo of that car on FB this week with no info as to driver, owner or where it was running. Now I know a little... which is normal!
