Dennis Erb Racing Lands in Victory Lane for Fourth Time in 2019 at Quincy!

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team racked up their fourth feature win of 2019 on Friday night, October 25 in the opener of the 'Kenny Pratt Memorial' at Quincy Raceway in Quincy, Illinois! Dennis Erb, Jr. swept the evening, as he earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session and won his heat race before leading each and every circuit of the 34-lap main event. Dennis beat Rich Bell, Rusty Griffaw, Jeremiah Hurst, and Brent Larson to the checkered flag to secure the $2,000 windfall!

Following a rain-out on Saturday, the finale of the 'Kenny Pratt Memorial' weekend took place on Sunday, October 27 at the Land of Lincoln venue. Dennis clicked off the third quickest lap overall during the qualifying session prior to scoring a heat race triumph. After rolling off from the inside of the second row in the 50-lapper, the Carpentersville, Illinois standout drove to the early race lead in the $5,000 to win contest before unfortunately breaking a timing chain on the fifth circuit. Due to the mechanical trouble, Dennis was relegated to a disappointing fourteenth place feature showing. Full results from both weekend races at Quincy can be viewed online at www.quincyraceway.com.

“We had a really good weekend going at Quincy until suffering mechanical trouble leading on Sunday night,” quoted Erb, Jr. earlier this week. “It was great to pick up a victory on Friday and also disappointing because we put ourselves in position to get another one, but just couldn’t capitalize to sweep the weekend. Our cars have been performing really well though and I’m looking forward to getting down to Phenix City this coming weekend. I’ve ran pretty good down there historically and we’ve been fortunate enough to string together some strong runs here lately, so hopefully we can stay up front and contend for our second National 100 win!”

The #28 team will now make the long trek south to the historic East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama on November 2-3 for the 45th edition of the ‘National 100.’ Dennis, who is always a threat to pull off a victory when he crosses through the pit gate at EAMS, will qualify and run heat races on Saturday evening, while the last chance events and the 100-lap, unsanctioned headliner are slated for Sunday. The winner of the storied race will receive $15,000, while a myriad of lap money and fast time bonuses are also up for grabs. Dennis will be looking for his second ‘National 100’ title, as he took the checkers back in 2016 for $20,000 before finishing third and on the podium in 2017!
