Cochran Motor Speedway Gears Up For Late-Season Specials
Arizona Sport Shirts Becomes Title Sponsor
Cochran, Georgia (10/31/19) – While most tracks are bringing an end to their racing season, Cochran Motor Speedway is kicking their year into high gear. From track improvements to new sponsors to exciting new events, the Georgia oval has some exciting things in store for fans and racers alike in November and December.
On November 28-30 the annual Gobbler 100 roars to life with a new look. Super Late Models battle for $5,000 to win on Friday and $15,000 to win on Saturday. Many of the sport’s top Dirt Late Model pilots have already voiced an interest in participating in the mega event, including Billy Moyer, Brandon Overton, Dale McDowell, Scott Bloomquist, Kyle Bronson, Clint Smith and more.
Joining the Gobbler 100 weekend card are 602 Topless Late Model Sportsman ($5,000 to win), Crate Late Models ($2,000 to win) on both Friday and Saturday Night, Bombers ($1,000 to win), Pure Stocks ($1,000 to win), 440/Hot Shots/SCDRA ($1,000 to win), and Hobby Stocks (possible $2,000 to win).
The season then draws to a close in Grand Style with the Arizona Sport Shirts Durrence Layne Chevrolet World Championship on December 26-28. The weekend is highlighted by Durrence Layne Crate Late Models pursuing a $10,000 top prize. Meanwhile, the Durrence Layne Street Stocks will set their sights on a $5,000 winner’s check.
With both of these events rapidly drawing near, Cochran Motor Speedway is excited to announce that Arizona Sport Shirts has signed on as a sponsor for both events as well as the title sponsor for the Durrence Layne Chevrolet World Championship.
