PLW is a pretty good shoe. More importantly he has been working at Rum Runner for a few years and earned a shot through hard work. He has the talent to be competitive in that equipment.

Better than their 2018 driver a few rungs below their 2019 pilot....currently.

Interesting hire. Always good to see guys get a chance. Hope he does well.

So what kind of schedule will they be running I know they wanted to cut back but will it be a regional schedule or just a GA only type deal

Working his way up from inside. I like that.

They must really be scaling back then. PLW is above average, but I'd be shocked if he's running for wins in a Ray Cook race.

Good luck to the whole team.
I like it an pretty much unknown name gets
a chance to compete in the fans.

I think they always have the car to be competitive.

Yeah, I am with masterbuilt they must be wanting to scale back on wins and everything this year. PLW has won maybe 3 or 4 races this year at his home tracks and when Brandon ran against this same talent he would win almost every race unless he had something break.

Giving the kid a chance. Nothing wrong with that

Wonder if Harold is still going to be crew chief or is he out the door too ?

I see a pattern . . . Brandon Overton (very well known) . . . . Joey Coulter (barely known) . . . . Pearson Lee Williams (unknown)! It's not like this kid is crawling in Bloomer's back- up car.

I believe Harrold will still be around and another reason for the separation, Harrold wanted to set cars up the way he set them for Joey and not set them up the way Brandon wanted them. I hope with Brandon's new team and the crew members they hire I hope one will be Grant Pearl.

A little off topic and I apologize if this has been asked before, but what is the Coulter's business? I know Joey's wife is an executive with Simpson Race Products, but what does the family do? Anything to do with the Rum industry or is that just a cool name for the race team?

There money came from some kinda invention in the medical field

Copied this from Beckman Coulter website. If I remember correctly one of these men is Joey's grandfather.

Coulter Corporation was founded by Wallace and Joseph Coulter in 1958 as a private company, remaining under the control of the Coulter family until acquired by Beckman Instruments, Inc. in 1997. Coulter marketed the Coulter Counter, an instrument used to determine the distribution of red and white cells in blood. This instrument was based on the “Coulter Principle,” which was developed by Wallace Coulter in 1948 to automatically and electronically count and measure the size of particles. This proved to be the foundation of automated hematology.

I wish him the best, but this will probably be short-lived.

Williams in the #2.

Maybe it will? If he's willing to just drive, no matter results, he may be ok. Just reading between the lines here.
