As well as he runs when they're in his neck of the woods, I would say he'll be a pretty solid competitior running the full schedule. Brian is a pretty fierce wheelman.

Guessing this is only a way to try to generate sponsorship dollars. If the first quarter of the schedule does not go well or. If no big dollar sponsorship shows up he will fall off the tour. Likely go back to Regional / Summer Nationals races. I will add that I do not blame him or anyone else who does this by the way. Why not put your name out there on a national series and see if someone who was on the fence would like to partner with you.

I think he'll finish somewhere between fourth and seventh on the year.Some of them kind of separated towards the end, but last year had a pretty decent battle from 2-8 between McCreadie, Richards, Erb, Owens, Moran, Hudson, and Pearson. I think 4-7 is a pretty good range for Shirley but it won't be easy. Still don't know what Moran will do next year but Clanton will be in the mix for a good points finish too. Shirley was bad fast at Speedweeks last year from what I remember, so he could get off to a good start.

The 3s will be fine as long as they don't run into bad luck like last year. Brian has always been a hands on guy as long as I've seen him race. It will be interesting to see how he meshes with his new crew chief. Hope they gel together like Erb and Edwards.

Its not that people don't want more cars, we just all know there are drivers who "declare" to run 1 of the 2 National series only to run into bad luck in Florida and drop off. Usually you can spot the wanna be national runners and I don't think Shirley's team is 1 of those.

These guys are in this for the cash. There is no cash in running 7th to 13th each night while racking up 30k miles a year. We all know ole Squirrel will tear up some stuff along the way as well.

OMG where did you get one of those? I thought Chuck only gave those to the pit lizards he would lure in from dating sites!You guys have nothing better to do with your time then constantly bashing people...At least we are out there racing against the best drivers in the country. As far as Brian goes he has a lot of talent it's not easy to race a whole month day in and day out and win with a minimal crew...he is usually one of the first at the track working on the car and getting prepared ...effort eventually gets results... he has all the talent he will win some races!!!!
