No explanation for those familiar with the racing scene here.

Terry’s number was photoshopped onto Nicks car. It’s an April Fools Joke. Zoom in and you can see the difference in the number.

All I can say is Nick can wheel a car . I’ll never forget at the USA nationals about 6-8 years ago when he won the local show came out for the 100 lap $50k show and lead only to have to pit for fuel cause he was running a wissota car and if he didn’t have to stop for fuel he would have won that race and that would have been huge

Scott,
Nick can wheel a car. No argument there.
Been going to the USA Nats for a long time...seen Nick make the show multiple times, but I don't ever remember him starting the 100 lapper in the top 10, nor do I recall him leading the main event.
From what you're describing, sounds like the year Jason Rauen was leading the race.

Zonks, I agree, Rauen came close, almost putting a lap on Bloomer good too.

Nick is one of those guys who could compete on a national tour if he had the backing and commitment to it. He chose a different course and deserves a ton of respect for it. Coaches his kids baseball and basketball teams, puts family first, etc. His dad could hop into a car now and be competitive in no time.

Agree 100%. First class all the way.
Ultimate respect for what he does and how he goes about it.
