Just been chatting with a few different people and was mentioned about a soft left front spring on a bump stop. Thoughts???

I had success in 2013 with that.

Would I be correct in guessing this is probably what led to the first use of a LF travel limiter to keep it tied down? If not the first use, I’d say it would definitely be needed.

I started using a tether at the same time. You don't get a lot of travel on the LF anyway. I don't run on a bump there anymore. IMO the shock is more important than a tether if you are doing something outside a simple spring. The tether is more about altering weight transfer. Thats why it became popular with road racers.

I almost never test except for at the races, unfortunately. With the unlimited areas of the car to work on and no manufacturer feedback loop, I'm always on my own time table.
