Will a stock GM aluminum bell housing be ok for a crate car. I think it would be as good as the bert or brinn. Most of those have been cracked and repaired.

Yep, we ran one in a limited car a few years ago.....no problems!

I've used them up to 600 hp. If you have an adapter ring machined to adapt the GM truck bellhousing down, even stronger.

I think that is the one I have. The hole is about 5 1/8". But I don't have an adapter.

I wouldn't run it with no pilot like that.

Oh no, I'm not. I found a crack in it around the starter cup any way. I'll keep my steel bell in for now. Thanks

drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it.
then die grind down the center of the crack on both sides, and have a good aluminum welder weld it.
