I don’t post stuff until it’s confirmed. Look for him to take the Late Model drivers by storm as he has done in Sprintcars the young man doesn’t show up to run second.

This clown actually think Larson is taking over the House car ride... smh

It’s for 1 race... the DTWC

Why would Kyle Larson race more than one or two times in a DLM when he's cleaning up in his sprint car?? More races and bigger purses with the winged-boys.

The "big" Kyle Larson news (for him anyways) is he's gonna end up back in Nascar in a car owned by Smoke.

I've been confused for 2-3 years if not more on who drives the Longhorn house car is. I thought it was Davenport at one time even though he's at LL. Then I thought it was the #6 car Rumleys have. Then I thought it was TMac.

T-MAC is the house car now. Jd was the house car when he ran the #6 for the 15' season before he moved to LL team then they were a r&d so to speak. Then t-mac became house car. Otherwords the #6 car is not a full schedule ride.

Overton and B Shepp will be hard for Larson to beat. I’d like to see this happen. It will bring even more excitement in.

Hopefully it's faster than the one now because he hasn't done much since Eldora

For 1 race. He isn’t done with sprint cars. And he’ll be back in NASCAR next season.

They spent the last 2 weeks at Longhorn building 2 brand new cars... the others had a TON of laps on them... the one he won at Eldora with in June was new before Florida in 19...

I would think any Race Car owned by a chassis builder is a house car. A chassis builder can have as many house cars it can afford. No rule against that.

So you think maybe, just maybe, it's going to be a team car to the 39 ? Those haulers can run up and down the road with 2 cars in them. All publicity. That and I'm sure young money won't mind giving it a try. If it is a team car to T-Mac that crew has enough trouble getting one car up front consistently. I wonder if they'll let Larson sell tee shirts. I betcha if so he sells out.

Donny Schatz believes this entire thread is hilarious. Has accomplished more in sprints than Larsen, basically tutored by Mark, Shepp and the Rocket crew, best equipment available and he didn't take the late model world by storm.

I posted it a month ago! ;)

Unfortunately I don't see an opportunity this year for Larson to do it this year. The DTWC won't be happening in Ohio and it's getting kinda late to be moving it without any announcements yet.

Anyone thinking he wouldn't be respectable in a LM tho hasn't been paying attention to what he is doing. Donny has never done anything remotely close to what Larson has done this year. Not taking anything away from Donny, but this is the first time Kyle has had a chance to focus solely on his sprint car operation and it's showing. Not to mention his USAC domination in June.

Sadly it will probably be back to NASCAR next year, but it's been fun watching him. Enjoy it while you can!

While I appreciate Donny's accomplishments, IF Kyle Larson would have been running sprint cars against him every night for as long as Donny has ran them, then Donny would have a LOT less wins.

Maybe next year Donny can drop off the WOO tour and cherry pick some ASCoC races or try for that ultimate crown of Pa. Speed Week Champ. Kyle is a once in a generation talent but he hasn't been going toe to toe every night with the best drivers or the top teams.

Like I said, in case you haven't noticed, he's been cherry picking the WoO series too! You try to make fun of ASCoC and PA, but he's making fun of WoO too. Every time he goes toe to toe with them, he's the man to beat!

If you think what he is doing isn't something special, you live in a small world.

DLM racing has zero talents like Larson. There is no reason he can't win immediately with a properly prepared machine.

I won't say immediately, but he will win pretty quickly, depending on where he goes first.

So you're saying he's no Scott Bloomquist. ;) He's been running sprint cars for over ten years but only until recently has he been this dominate (and only this year has he been able to commit to the type of schedule he is).

The thing about Kyle is he has shown how adept he is at adapting quickly to whatever vehicle he is in. He can run well in a 3,300lb Cup car and turn around later that night and be competitive in a sprint car. While a LM takes a completely different driving style, there's nothing I see that says he wouldn't be able to quickly adapt to that and be just as competitive. Look at some of the newer drivers wih very limited experience in LM's doing very well against seasoned, accomplished drivers. Experience only gets you so far before talent starts to play a role. Saying there's no way he could do it is only an opinion based on nothing.

Again, hopefully we get to see it and one of us can prove the other wrong. ;)

First off, I am a huge Larson fan, but in no way will he dominate right off the bat. I will say with today's formats, I could see him turning a fast lap, start up front, and win a WoO or Lucas event.

Pennsboro32
08-11-2020, 12:47 PM
Late models are way more technical than sprint cars. Sprints are more about the driver than set up IMO. He wouldn't win instantly in a super but I think he could be competitive and I doubt it would take him long to run up front consistently if he gave it a full go.

WOW. Not a word about his crew chief ! There is such a fine line in today's deal that if you don't have that guy your not going to win races. Young money is good, real good. He doesn't abuse tires, which in my opinion is one of the main reasons why he is so good. If Rumley is the guy turning the wrenches and they get some testing done, nothing would surprise me as far as how well he does. If it's a team car to the 39, forget about it kyle, sell tee shirts, smile for the photo opps and then say it was fun.

No dig at the 39 team. There not fast, for that matter, the newer longhorns seem to be struggling. Overton, hear say so take it what it's worth, parked the new car and is running a older car. So if a guy, T-mac that's been trying to get speed out of the new car can't what do you think ? Larson is going to jump in and race to the front ? Take your blinders off.

Right now the only 2 cars he’ll get in and be decent would be the green and white 20 or that black 76. They fast!!!
